About

The UK Forum on a Multipolar World is a centre for discussion, research and insight on the changing nature of contemporary international relations and the fracturing of the international order.

The Forum provides a platform for readers to learn and investigate this topic, and a centre for exploring current thought and practice surrounding it. The Forum also aims to bring together diverse voices to discuss the state of the current international order and the multitude of complex dynamics underpinning this, from a variety of perspectives.

Our Objectives

  • Provide a platform to discuss important issues in international relations with implications for the ‘world order’.
  • Engage with contemporary thought from different academic disciplines and political institutions that approach these issues in innovative ways.
  • Bring readers closer to the wider relevance of work by universities, research institutes and academics for understanding the ‘world order’.
  • Connect the work and insights of practitioners and policymakers in international relations to broader systemic questions of global politics.
  • Promote an approach to understanding the ‘world order’ that bridges the worlds of academia and practice.
